My Impression: If you like your stories rich in detail and atmosphere, if you like to learn about new cultures or cultures that are new to you, then The Sari Shop Widow is the book for you. Ms. Bantwal writes about the culture of “Little India” with the authority of one born to it, as she certainly is. You will quickly become enraptured by the characters that populate the novel and the situations that bring them all together in the unlikely location of Edison, NJ. This is a rich and wonderful book. One the reader might want to savor over a nice cup of tea.
